You will join a highly committed and collaborative leadership team that is passionate about future-proofing our kaupapa and creating opportunities for rangatahi Māori to thrive in STEMM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths, and Mātauranga Māori).
Who are we?
The Pūhoro Charitable Trust is a kaupapa Māori organisation with a mission to improve Māori outcomes in STEM and related fields. We operate in 12 regions across Aotearoa and work with over 2,000 rangatahi Māori in high school and tertiary education.

As part of our Te Pae Urungi (Senior Leadership Team), this role will provide direct support to the Manahautū (Chief Executive)and help drive the strategic direction of our kaupapa.
This is a permanent, full-time (37.5 hours)role based in our Palmerston North offices. Some regional and national travel will be required.

Experience and Qualifications:
You will be a confident leader with 4+ years' experience managing multiple direct reports. You’ll have a demonstrated history of working in the areas of finance, contracts, reporting, compliance, and general operational functions.
We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, who is a strategic thinker with a proven track record of success in operational leadership. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional business acumen, enabling them to drive innovative solutions and foster sustainable growth.
You will be well-networked and have strong relationship management skills, with the ability to work with a range of audiences, including iwi, industry partners, and external stakeholders.
Experience working in kaupapa Māori organisations and proficiency in Te Reo Māori are desirable but not essential.
