Tēnā koutou,

The Pūhoro Charitable Trust (PCT) improves Māori science, technology, engineering, mathematics and mātauranga (STEMM) capability. We are seeking to appoint TWO roles within the Manawatū rohe. The following advertisement is for both of those roles namely, the Te Urunga Tū Kaihautū to assist in the delivery of the Puhoro STEMM kaupapa in the Manawatū (Palmerston North based) region.

This position will report primarily to the Regional Lead Te Urunga Tū Kaihautū. You will be part of a high performance team who will support rangatahi to achieve their aspirations. You will be required to work both independently and as part of a wider team, working closely with rangatahi, whānau, secondary schools, tertiary institution staff and STEMM industry stakeholders as appropriate.  

To be successful in this role, you will have:  

  • A minimum of an undergraduate qualification in the sciences, education or Māori development
  • Some proficiency in te reo me ngā tikanga Māori is desirable for this role
  • Proven experience in working with rangatahi Māori and whānau
