Pūhoro partners with many different organisations over the summer period (November – February) to create opportunities for rangatahi to experience meaningful research and employment opportunities in the broad spectrum of science.
Our Internship programme commences with a whakatau and concludes with an evening of celebration - a Pō Whakanui where research supervisors, whānau and family can celebrate the achievements of their rangatahi during the internship they have experienced and view a presentation of their research.
Over the last summer period (2020-2021 Pūhoro was able to pathway fourty-six (46) rangatahi into internships for Year 13 Pūhoro students at High school and also Pūhoro Tertiary students who are studying in universities across the country.
