Pūhoro has a longstanding and strong partnership with Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora. Our collaboration has been a powerful driver in empowering rangatahi to engage with and excel in STEMM — particularly inspiring them to pursue their aspirations in health through the bespoke Health Careers Pathway developed in partnership with Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora.

Through this partnership, rangatahi have been able to deepen their understanding of health career opportunities as a meaningful and achievable pathway. Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora’s engagement has been instrumental in preparing our rangatahi for study and employment across health-related fields. The hands-on experiences gained through attendance at Pūhoro wānanga, participation in the summer studentship programme, and access to scholarship opportunities are fostering a new generation of skilled, culturally grounded Māori health professionals — ready to uplift the hauora of our whānau, marae, hapū, and iwi.
